at home while watching the news on Gaza:
Umar breaking the silence: "ummi, uma nak g alestin"
Ummi: (not really get the words) "uma nak 'astin'? ape tu?"
Umar: "bukanlah..uma nak gi astin..cian die..cakit.." (he points to the tv)
Ummi: (with suprise...masya Allah (in heart).."umar nak pergi palestin?"
umar: (nodding)
ummi: umar nak bagi ape pergi palestin?
umar: nak bagi school..
ummi: "bagi school? (smiling)..lagi nak bagi ape?"
umar: ais krim..
ummi: "baiknye nak bg ais krim..bagi palestine ye?"
umar: "eh takla..ais kim umarnye la.."
ummi look at ayah..both smiling..alhamdulillah..Ya Allah, please make our son a humble person with heart full of love and cares to muslims.."
p/s: when i was in first year, i heard a senior telling a story about one of the hukamak's child in Malaysia who refuse to eat kfc as he said it is yahudi's..i was so proud of that small kid and deep inside my heart i hope Allah will make my child a good person and muttaqin..
some people wonder why burden this small child with all these..never estimate your child's ability..melentur buluh biarlah dari rebungnya..biiznillah..

Alhamdulillah we had the chance to participate in the "Rapat Umum: Selamatkan Gaza" organised by ISMA and AMAN PALESTIN..masya Allah the spirit of Malaysian was superb that day..hope it will last forever (reminder for us as well)..Umar after the event keep saying "ancur, ancur..ancur yaudi!!" (hancur, hancur..hancur yahudi!!)--> he joints us and the crowd melaungkan ungkapan itu..until a week after the event, everytime he heard the word hancur he'll say the phrase..
In Malaysia, the awareness on Gaza has imrpoved as compared to previous years, however many muslims in this country perceive the issue as 'kemanusiaan' but actually as a muslim it is not only that but the most important issues are about "Aqidah" and "Jihad"..Muslim not only supporting Gaza and boycotting products that support Israel because we pitty them but instead it is because Palestine is our holy land, our first qiblat and it is the prohets' land..and we will not win by other means except jihad..
Today's scenario really shows that Muslim will win. As a muslim we must believe in Prophet Muhammad Hadis:
Sabda Baginda SAW : "Tidak akan berlaku hari kiamat sehingga orang-orang Islam memerangi orang-orang Yahudi.
Maka orang-orang Yahudi akan bersembunyi di sebalik batu-batu dan pokok-pokok (kerana takutkan orang-orang Islam) dan batu-batu dan pokok-pokok tersebut berkata kepada orang-orang Islam: "Wahai Muslim! Wahai hamba Allah! Ini Yahudi dibelakangku. Bunuhlah ia!. Kecuali pohon 'Gharqad' kerana sesungguhnya pohon tersebut adalah pohon Yahudi". ..
We were a bit late..so we sat quite behind..later at the shop:
umar: "ummi, nak biskut tiger"
ummi: "tak boleh la sayang..tuh yahudi punye"
umar: (looking at ummi try to understand)
ummi: kita beli biskut lain, boleh?
umar: "boleh (smiling)"
later at home, biskut tiger advertisement on tv:
umar was alone in front of tv: "yaudi punye.." (pointing at the advertisement)
ummi from far: (Alhamdulillah, sucinya hati anak ini.. Ya Allah please make my son understand the real situation and make him one of Your jundullah)..

Bismillahirahmanirrahim..
After a very long silence we are back with more photos and update on umar's development and activities. when umi looked back to the last entry done, umar has developed more skills especially his speech. At 15 months old he started to combine 2 words and at 18 months he could speak 2-3 words fluently. And now at 2 years 2 months old he talks none stop  ...alhamdulillah to hear him talking really make our day and strengthen our love..thak you Allah..
he can recognise colours at 2yrs 2months old..this started when we got a free booklet on paints. Umar really interested in that booklet thus we gave it to him. He none stop asking me.."ni ape umi?" as he pointed to the colours shown and ayah and I takes turn to explain it to him (as he none stop asking)..then the next day he can repeat the colour we taught him..alhamdulillah...
As I'm having the end of the year holiday so I've planned some activities for umar..so today's extry is on one of his activities which was:
1) hand printing
2) free style art using watercolour (ummi's old watercolour)
3) squeezing & spraying colour on paper..
he likes the activity so much..the next day he said to me "ummi wat at (art) nak?"..let the photos tell the story.. please ignore umar's hair..(xsempat potong lagi at that time)

aktiviti-quatu jism (kekuatan tubuh badan)

In the book titled ‘tarbiyyatul aulad’, it does mentioned that to educate a young child is through play..encouraged by the ‘ciri-ciri muasoffat’ (ciri-ciri yg perlu diterapkan dalam setiap individu), one of the components is the ‘quatu jism’ (kekuatan tubuh badan), therefore when we had time, we went to the park nearby our house (3mins by car) to let umar play at the playground and feed the fish..by playing at the playground it may help building up his muscles, interaction with other kids and his way of thinking.
Besides that, we like the park as it has a lot of fish in the lake where we can feed them for free..while feeding the fish we will try our best to make umar looks at his surrounding (the ‘alam) and make him think..
we repeatedly ask him: “siapa buat fish?” ..
for the first time umar looked at us and smile with no answer..
then we told him that “Allah makes the fish..”
later we asked him again: "sape cipta fish?" and he will answer with confident voice “AWAH (Allah)!!”..
later we changed the question slightly..”siapa buat umar?” he said “AWWAH (Allah)!!”
..i think he memorise the answer but its ok..hopefully when he grows up he will understand it better and this may trigger him to think! Alhamdulillah..
later he ask me “ummi, cape wat fish?”
umi: “eh sape ye..”
umar: “Awwah!!(Allah)”...
Ya Allah jadikanlah anakku hamba yang beriman teguh kepadaMu tanpa ada kecintaan lain selainMu...jadikanlah dia hamba yang berakhlak mulia dan memiliki hati yang suci bersulam sifat-sifat mahmudah dan berguna buat agamaMu..amin..”
Berdoalan wahai ibu dan ayah, doa itu senjata mukmin dan doa ibu adalah terbaik buat anaknya..bedoalah seperti doa nabi Zakariyya apabila melihat Maryam dalam surah Ali-‘Imran: 38: “Ya Tuhanku, berilah aku dari sisi Engkau seorang anak yang baik. Sesungguhnya Engkau Maha Pendengar do’a”..

play with your senses..
|
|
after cleaning himself, after the art's activity..we played with senses..umi trying to encourage umar to use his other senses other than his hand..
umi lied umar on the sleeping bag..then cover his both hands with a pair of sock..
suprisingly he seems not knowing what to do initially because his main sense has covered..he was giggling and trying to take off the sock using his mouth ..
few seconds later he raised his feet and wringgling them around..then he noticed "oh yeah i still have my feet" then he has the idea on what to do next..
he sat and try hard to take the sock off his hands..eventually he succeed..brilliant sweetheart!
yipee!!am i brilliant umi??alhamdulillah

umar first masterpiece..
|

umar did a basic art class using safe home made 'water color' from tepung and food coloring..umi did not put in the detergent since it may irritate the skin even though the bottle is obvious in the picture..umi got this idea from her kinder class long..long time ago..heh
the venue was at the dining floor..heh so umi can mop easily after that..
umar really enjoying the activity and was concentrating to produce his masterpiece..umar did most of the things from the start - from preparing the 'water-colour'..umi puts in the flour in the pot and a little of food coloring powder and some water..umar mix everything using his hand..
then umi provided him with A4 paper and show him initially how to proceed with the colouring..
he understood very fast and did her master piece non stop using his finger (even his face and limbs were stained..heh)..he did very well..he seems like a kindergarden student..excellent honey!

umi tries very hard to stimulate all his senses by doing variety of things together..
nature would be the best medium of learning..

we had 'urusan' in KL last feb and on the way back to PD we went to putrajaya and have lunch at alamanda..
umar was very happy playing the indoor playground and the pool outside alamanda.. he ran here and there which caused both ummi and ayah so tired chasing after him..but overall we are satisfied to see him happy..we love you so much sayang..

Have not updated this fotopages for quite a while..I am continuing my clinical years at Hospital JB which offers vast opportunities which i could not get in oz..
browsing umar's folder, there are lots and lots of photos need to be uploaded..most of it was taken during weekend when we spent time together and did a lot of stuff together..
